Electric driving for 15,000 euros is possible with a Golf

The demand for electric used cars has collapsed because too many people only think about the short term. Yes, of course there will be MRB for these cars, but with solar panels and a large battery at home you can drive almost for free even in the rapidly growing number of low emission zones.

This time we are looking for an electric car for a maximum of 15,000 euros. Today we are highlighting the third occasion. Don’t like the Volkswagen e-Golf? Then take a look at the used cars from Monday and yesterday, with which you can also drive electric cheaply.

Volkswagen e-Golf (2017 – 2020)

The strength of the E-Golf is that it is a Golf! It looks the same and is just as spacious, including the luggage compartment (380 liters). Due to its higher weight, the E-Golf has a slightly stiffer suspension and is therefore slightly less comfortable than the petrol versions. With a 36 kWh battery and an average consumption of around 14 kWh/100 km, the range is just over 250 km. Precisely because of its similarity to the normal Golf, this is an ideal car for anyone who wants to get used to electric driving because everything seems so familiar to them.

There is a large selection in the country, such as the black one (2018, 129,000 km) with some options for 14,950 euros from a car company in Eindhoven.

What should you pay attention to on this occasion?

It sometimes happens that the e-Golf’s charging cable doesn’t want to come off. Mechanical unlocking is possible at any time using a so-called “microswitch”. Beyond that, there are no known specific problems.
