Skoda Fabia crashes during the rally and lands in the swimming pool
Drivers who drive rallies usually know what they are doing very well. However, something often goes wrong. For example, this Skoda Fabia ends up in the swimming pool.
The misjudgment occurred in Austria at the January rally last weekend. There is a lot of snow in the area, which only made the weekend more exciting.
Accident in the swimming pool during the rally
Many other steering and judgment errors were made during the rally. But this one with the Skoda Fabia is the most striking. Johannes Keferböck was behind the wheel with Ilka Minor as a passenger. Both were able to leave the vehicle and the pool unharmed. But it was undoubtedly a very cold dive.
The Skoda Fabia RS Rally2
The car in which the accident occurred was a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. The Czech car features all-wheel drive, a five-speed sequential gearbox and a robust roll cage. The hatchback is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine derived from the Volkswagen Group’s 2.0 TSI. Thanks to the large turbo, the performance of the 1.6 is 289 hp and 430 Nm of torque.

The engine block of Keferböck’s Fabia has probably exhaled its last exhaust fumes. Water is not good for an engine. Due to the accident with the Skoda, the fifteenth stage of the rally had to be canceled.
