The grotesque BMW XM is a car for the Patrick Batemans of the world. A power suit, as it was called in the eighties. A rather striking symbol of success that has now become 50,000 euros (!) cheaper.

The XM is too big, too thick, too heavy, too powerful, too cumbersome, too everything but not for the tax authorities. Because thanks to its plug-in hybrid drive, the monster SUV suffers surprisingly little BPM loss.

XM 50e significantly “cheaper”
For example, the latest variant of the XM manages to reduce the starting price by up to 50 grand. The 50th costs 129,989 euros. And the version above, which is just called XM, costs 178,396 euros.
The 476 hp 50e is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder and an electric motor. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and has an electric range of around 80 kilometers with a full battery.
BMW XM and Label Red
The two variants mentioned above, the BMW XM and the XM Label Red, have a 4.4-liter V8 with plug-in hybrid support and produce 653 and 748 hp respectively. BMW charges just over 200,000 euros for the Red label.
