The Honda S2000 is a real collector’s car. We are therefore very sad about the total loss of this beautiful specimen. In the video below you can see the owner losing control of the car.
While we saw a serious Ford Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost crash yesterday, it’s now a stunning JDM legend. Once again, it’s an attempt at showing off that ends in misery.
Honda S2000 total loss
The Mustang driver tried to pass in front of a filming group of passersby, and the owner of the Honda was tricked into hitting the accelerator by a passerby who gave him a thumbs up. The same passer-by also managed to capture the serious accident on camera.
In the video, you’ll hear the owner of the canary yellow Honda S2000 downshifting so the filmmaker can enjoy the VTEC and 9,000 rev limiter. When you try to accelerate, the rear wheels lose traction and the rear ends up swerving. An attempt to counter-steer is of no use and the S2000 lands roughly on the edge. A photo of the damage suggests that this cult hero has been declared a total loss.
It’s a shame, because not only was it a nice example (well, with a questionable trunk fender), but the Honda S2000 has also increased in value significantly in recent years. Most examples on the Gaspedal.nl sales page cost between 25,000 and 50,000 euros. Fortunately, the cheapest S2000 used car in the Netherlands is still affordable.
900 hp Toyota Supra crashed by mechanic
By the way, it could be worse than this Honda S2000 accident. At the beginning of the year, a blazingly fast Toyota Supra was sent into the eternal hunting grounds. Not from the owner, but from a car mechanic who took a test drive after servicing the 2JZ engine. He dealt the 900 hp Supra a merciless hard blow. The accident in which the Toyota was totaled is recorded on camera.
