The Fisker Pear is an American electric car that is a compact crossover in a segment that is still unknown to Tesla. The electric vehicle will not enter the market until mid-2025, but we already know a little better what the production model will look like.
The Fisker pear is full of strange properties. A bit like its bigger brother, the Fisker Ocean. This electric SUV will be launched next year and can be purchased in the Netherlands from 43,990 euros. The EV funding of 2,950 euros (also in 2024) for new electric cars is exactly within the SEPP requirements. A direct competitor to the Model Y in terms of price and size.

The Fisker bulb has to go there. At 4.5 meters long, the American electric vehicle is around 25 centimeters shorter than a Tesla Model Y. Elon Musk’s brand does not yet have any electric vehicles in this segment. In the USA, the Pear is available from 29,900 US dollars, less than 27,500 euros.

Of course, European pricing isn’t simply about using the exchange rate, but it does provide a guide. The German prize, which was announced in advance of the IAA in Munich, is also not far away. You can buy the bulb from our eastern neighbors from 32,900 euros.
Prices for Teslas are (largely) the same in the Netherlands and Germany, suggesting that the same price can also be expected for the Dutch market. This electric car would also be eligible for EV funding.
Bizarre features of the Fisker pear
For this money you can buy an entry-level car with a limited WLTP range of just 320 kilometers. However, four versions with different battery packs are available from Tesla’s competitor. Depending on the version, the range increases to a maximum of 560 kilometers.
Whichever version you buy, you get some quirky features. Think about them Houdini suitcase, a trunk lid that disappears into the rear bumper. A bit like the doors of a BMW Z1. And just like the Fiat Multipla, three people can sit in the front, making it a six-seater.

These functionalities were already known. In Los Angeles, however, the Tesla competitor presented a production-ready Fisker Pear and revealed a few surprises from its bag of tricks. For example, the cameras on the doors (which we saw in the press photos) have been replaced with conventional mirrors.
Nevertheless, you will find screens to the left and right of the dashboard in the interior. However, these fulfill a different function: the transparent A-pillar. The screens project what is hidden behind the A-pillar. Well, simply moving your head slightly to the side is of course not an option.
