There aren’t many electric station wagons yet, especially not in the lower segment. That’s why the Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric seems to be in pretty good shape in terms of price.
Ho ho, I hear everyone screaming: A comparable MG5 Electric with a range of 400 kilometers is around 2,600 euros cheaper. Yes, that’s true, but let’s be honest, this is a slightly different car.
Beautiful Opel Astra Sports Tourer
The Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric has charisma and is not as interchangeable as the down-to-earth MG5. Many Dutch people still object to driving Chinese cars.
Almost the same specifications as MG5
The MG5 Electric Long costs 38,885 euros and for that you get 156 hp, 280 Nm, a range of 400 kilometers and a fast charging option with 87 kW. The Opel is not far away.

The Astra Sports Tourer Electric also produces 156 hp, has 260 Nm of torque and can travel 413 kilometers with a full battery charge. It charges quickly with 100 kW.
Peugeot e-308 SW significantly more expensive
The technical data correspond to those of the Peugeot e-308 SW, which is identical to the Opel. However, the French brand charges at least 44,885 euros for the EV. That’s 3400 euros more (!) than Opel.
Eligible
The Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric is available from 41,499 euros. Even the lavishly equipped GS version only costs 44,499 euros, which means both are eligible for SEPP funding.
Slightly less luggage space
As a station wagon, the Astra is quite spacious, with 515 liters of storage space in the luggage compartment, which can be expanded to 1553 liters by folding down the seat backrest.

Compared to the petrol versions of the Astra, this is slightly less. These come to just under 600 liters as standard, because in the Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric the battery takes up part of the trunk.
