Tesla boss Elon Musk has suddenly added a bizarre new regulation to the Cybertruck’s terms and conditions. Buyers of the pickup are not allowed to sell their car within one year of the delivery date.
These are Ferrari-like rules that buyers must abide by. The regulation is of course intended to prevent buyers from immediately reselling their car for a significant profit.
Now just demand Elon Musk for America
Elon Musk’s demand for buyers of the Tesla Cybertruck can initially only be read on the American website.
What if you sold your Tesla Cybertruck?
But what if you still want to sell your Cybertruck in the first year? Then you must report this to the manufacturer.
If you have a good reason for selling, the manufacturer will take the car back. You will then receive the purchase price minus $0.25 per mile for wear and tear.

If you sell the car without permission, you could face a hefty fine. Tesla is then demanding $50,000 in damages. You could end up on a blacklist and never be allowed to buy an Elon Musk car again.
Tesla Cybertruck Netherlands
The bizarre requirement for buyers of a new Tesla is not yet on the Dutch website. However, the Cybertruck is far from expected here. The first examples have only now been manufactured in America.
Elon Musk has not yet responded
Musk has not yet responded to the adjustment of the general terms and conditions. However, Tesla’s CEO previously stated that the pickup was a headache for the brand: “We have dug our own grave.”
