Tesla is again reducing the price of a model. This time it’s the Model Y’s turn. Thanks to the price reduction, the electric vehicle is even eligible for funding.
In the Netherlands you receive a purchase subsidy for electric cars. At least when an electric vehicle costs less than 45,000 euros. Tesla will now be just under that price.
Tesla Model Y cheaper
The cheapest Tesla Model Y now costs 44,990 euros. The electric car is now 2,000 euros cheaper. You will also receive 2,950 euros from the state. In short: You can now drive a Model Y for 42,040 euros. And this while the car is already popular.

For the money you get 455 kilometers of range and an electric motor that produces 347 hp and 420 Nm of torque.
It’s a smart move by Tesla to stay just below the purchase subsidy price. The fact that the more expensive Tesla Model Y has not had its price reduced proves that the price reduction is actually intended for this regulation. You still pay just under 54 grand for a long range and the performance costs almost 60 grand.
