You can burn your butt in the back seat of the Lucid Air

Things are not going well for Lucid Motors. The American electric car manufacturer will lose $1.3 billion (!) in 2022 and will have to recall its Lucid Air for the umpteenth time.
Why? Because the back seat can burst into flames. A problem with the software can cause the heated seats to go crazy. This has happened a few times in America.

Several Lucid Air riders reported discolored or even charred seat cushions due to the heat. One even burned his fingers on the red-hot leather of the back seat.

Therefore, 1267 units of the Lucid Air must be returned for a software update and/or rear seat replacement. This is the eighth recall for the 2022 model. The fifth for the 2023 model.

The Air is now also for sale with us. There are four versions, starting with the 115,000 euro Pure, with 487 hp and a range of 725 kilometers.
