Give the Jeep Avenger a protein bar and you get this 4×4 concept

The big Jeep news at the Paris Motor Show is the all-electric Avenger. In its shadow, the Italian-American SUV specialist presents another concept car with the broad-shouldered Jeep 4×4 Concept.
Like the Opel Mokka-e and Peugeot e-2008, the new Jeep Avenger has an electric motor on the front axle, with which it shares its technology. A 4 × 4 version is therefore not planned. At least not from the all-electric Avenger…
Hybrid Jeep Avenger?
We know there will also be a hybrid version of the compact Jeep. And it could well have all-wheel drive, just like this Jeep Avenger 4×4 Concept.

The interesting thing is: Jeep doesn’t reveal any powertrain details of its study, but on the car’s tailgate we do spot a 4xe logo, which is also used on the brand’s plug-in hybrids.
Blue air grille on the hood
For now it remains guesswork, so let’s focus on the looks of the 4×4 concept. What is striking? The blue grille on the hood (is there a combustion engine underneath?), the additional lighting on the nose, the off-road tires and the slightly thicker bumper all work.
Not a hybrid version of Mokka or 2008
There is no plug-in hybrid variant of the DS 3, Opel Mokka and Peugeot 2008. In fact, there is no electrification at all on the triplets. It’s petrol, diesel, all-electric, or nothing.

So when the Jeep Avenger comes out as a plug-in, that’s pretty much the exception. The electric Avenger will come to the Netherlands in early 2023 and will cost at least 40,500 euros.
