This is how much the Volkswagen ID.7 costs in the Netherlands

Almost six months after we first met the Volkswagen ID.7, the Germans have put a price tag on the big electric car. The electric vehicle is not cheap.

It was immediately clear that with the ID.7, Volkswagen wanted to bring an electric car onto the market that was positioned above the Passat in terms of luxury. The price difference is therefore significant – of course this is also due to the fact that the Passat is not (yet) fully electric.

The price of the new Volkswagen Passat

The Volkswagen Passat has a starting price of 48,490 euros in the Netherlands. It is not yet known what the new generation will cost. The Volkswagen ID.7 is 15,500 euros more expensive than the Passat.

For just under 64,000 euros you can get the Pro Business version, which is currently the only version package that can be ordered. You get a 77 kWh battery that gives you a range of up to 599 kilometers and you can fast charge up to a maximum of 175 kW.

The battery is coupled with a 286 hp and 545 Nm electric motor that exclusively drives the rear wheels. This means that the sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour is achieved in 6.5 seconds. Acceleration stops at 180 kilometers per hour. The Volkswagen ID.7 can tow up to 1,000 kilograms when braked.

Further versions of the Volkswagen ID.7 are not yet available. It is clear that further variants will come onto the market, for example a GTX model. Want to stay up to date with all the latest automotive news? Then subscribe to our newsletter!
