The BMW X2 should just behave normally

BMW shows the silhouette of the new X2. Although the shadow of such a car often doesn’t say much, these images speak volumes.
The BMW X2 was always the underdog. A magnification scale (larger-larger-largest) applies to the brand’s entire X range. Except for the X2. The model does not correspond to the X4 and X6.
The new BMW X2
So far. BMW is putting an end to the stubborn X2 model. From now on it is a scaled down version of the X4 (or X6). In short, a real coupe SUV.
SOON
Headlights on. Time for something unexpected. Stay tuned.#BMW

Although not everyone is a fan of the body shape and the vehicle type certainly has disadvantages, coupe SUVs are very popular.
What is striking is that the new BMW X2 not only has a sloping roofline, the nose has also been fundamentally redesigned. The radiator grille has become larger and is equipped with lighting.
Powertrains
BMW has not yet announced anything about the X2’s powertrains. However, it can be assumed that they are identical to the X1. Logically, an electric iX2 is also being planned.
The X1 is offered in two diesel models with front-wheel drive, each with a four-cylinder with 150 or 211 hp. There is also a three-cylinder petrol engine with 136 hp and a four-cylinder petrol engine with 218 hp. Both are equipped with a mild hybrid system.
There are also two plug-in hybrids. The plug-in has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine on the front axle and an electric motor on the rear axle. The two engines together produce 245 hp and 326 hp respectively. Both versions can drive 78 to 89 kilometers purely electrically.
The BMW iX1 can be ordered with one electric motor (204 hp) or two electric motors (313 hp). According to WLTP, you can drive between 413 and 375 kilometers with the 66.5 kWh battery. This depends on the version.
