Autovisie is always looking for used cars for enthusiasts and therefore searches the lists on the sales site Gaspedal.nl. This time we found an armored BMW 2002 tii.

Armored BMW 2002 tii
This BMW 2002 tii did not belong to James Bond. In fact, 007 never appeared on screen in the model. Nevertheless, it seems as if this event belonged to a secret agent.

The classic has bullet-resistant glass and the doors, roof and underbody also have to repel bullets. In fact, the car has an on-board extinguishing system that can extinguish a fire caused by a bomb, for example, within a few seconds. These are James Bond-like gadgets! The seller points out in the ad that the buttons and compartments remain untouched. The question remains what all the buttons do. Trying it out isn’t entirely risk-free.

Under the hood is still the standard 2.0-liter M10 inline-four. Only the hoses have been redesigned so that they can withstand the higher ethanol content in E10 gasoline. However, with such a classic it is better to fill up with E5.
Feel like James Bond
The car dates from 1975 and, according to the speedometer, has traveled less than 60,000 kilometers. The car comes from Italy and was registered in January 2023 with a Dutch license plate. The seller is asking almost 25 grand for the car.

It’s hard to say whether it’s expensive or not. Such an armored James Bond car is unique. For 22,500 euros we can find another original Dutch BMW 2002 tii with fewer kilometers.
