You want this used car: Nissan Micra 160 SR – cheap, sporty and economical

Autovisie is always looking for used cars for enthusiasts and therefore searches the lists on the sales site Gaspedal.nl. This time we found a Nissan Micra 160 SR.

You probably know the Nissan Micra as a solid, economical and, above all, civilian car. The third generation with its round shapes is a bit sensitive to taste, but rarely does anyone turn to the little Japanese.

However, there is a version that is true. In 2005, Nissan launched a 160 SR version of the Micra. Between 2006 and 2007 the model was renamed Sport SR, later it was called 160 SR again.

But why is this “special” version worth a look? No, it doesn’t have 160 hp as the name suggests. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 111 hp works under the hood. The torque is 153 Nm.

The Nissan Micra is not a miracle of power, but with its weight of 992 kilograms it still wants to move a lot. The model sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.8 seconds. The top speed is 183 kilometers per hour. It is also an economical car: an average of 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

A sports chassis

In addition to more power, the Nissan Micra 160 SR also gets a sports suspension. To make the design a little sportier, the 160 SR is equipped with a different grille, chrome accents and clear indicators. The rear bumper was designed slightly differently.

The top model also differs from a normal Micra in the interior. Sound insulation has been improved, partly through thicker glass. The seats in the Micra 160 SR offer more lateral support than the standard seats in the Micra.

Autovisie finds a Nissan Micra 160 SR as a used car. The mileage is over 160,000 kilometers. The seller quotes a price of almost 4.5 grand for the Micra.
