Chinese electric car loses battery while driving

Changing batteries, some brands show it, others think it’s nonsense. Regardless of whether you want to change the battery or not, it is important that the battery is securely fixed under your car, otherwise you will end up with the same as this Chinese electric car.

A pedestrian in China filmed the battery dozens of meters behind the electric vehicle. The incident happened in Chengdu, China’s Sichuan province.

The electric car from which the battery fell is a Cao Cao 60. We call this example Ciao Ciao 60. Although the name suggests otherwise, there is a 51.8 kWh battery pack buried in the ground or on the road. He can cover around 415 kilometers with it.

Like all Nio models, this Cao Cao 60 can change the batteries. It is unclear whether this battery fell out from under the electric car after it was replaced.

Cao Cao is a brand of the Chinese car group Geely, just like Volvo, Lotus and many other brands. The manufacturer states that the 60’s battery can be changed in just 60 seconds. An impressive time. With Nio electric cars you need about 5 minutes for one battery change.

Due to the short video, it is not possible to tell whether the battery is permanently damaged or whether the battery can simply be put back under the electric car.
