Thousands of euros cheaper: Price for Opel Corsa Electric drops

Opel announces prices for the new Corsa Electric. And there’s good news for EV buyers. That’s because it’s cheaper.

In May of this year, Opel showed the revised version of the Opel Corsa. The car has been slightly redone on all sides. For example, the performance of the electric car has been increased and the electric car (optional) has a larger battery. In addition, the all-electric model is no longer called the Corsa-e, but bears the name Corsa Electric. The petrol variants would also get a mild hybrid system on board. However, this 48V technology is still a long time coming.

That costs the new Opel Corsa

The new Opel Corsa costs 23,349 euros. For the money you get an unblown 75 hp three-cylinder with 1.2 liter displacement. For 24,499 euros you get the 100 hp 1.2-liter turbo engine. The most powerful petrol engine also has three cylinders and a displacement of 1.2 liters. This engine block delivers 130 hp. You get an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The 100 hp version is also available with this automatic gearbox. What the 130 hp Corsa costs is still unclear.

How much cheaper are you?

For more power you have to drive electrically. There are two flavors. For almost 35 grand there is an Opel Corsa Electric with a 136 hp electric motor and a range of 357 kilometers. This is the well-known powertrain from the Corsa-e. This version is 2,000 euros cheaper than before.
