The humble MG4 Electric will be a 435 hp electric monster

The MG4 Electric is an excellent offering. For 32,285 euros you get a full-fledged Volkswagen ID.3 competitor with 170 hp and a range of 350 kilometers. But the humble hatchback is about to transform into a roaring horsepower monster.

The MG4 XPower will be presented this summer, a performance variant of the MG4 Electric with an output of 435 hp and 600 Nm of torque. It sprints to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. And that makes the model 0.1 seconds faster than the current BMW M3 Competition.

MG4 Xpower with a maximum speed of 200 km/h

The M3 outperforms the MG on the Autobahn, as the top speed of the electric hot hatch is electronically set to 200 km/h. And even then, the 62kWh battery drains with pleasure.

Less range than MG4 Electric

XPower has the same battery as the MG4 Electric Long Range, but with a shorter range. Instead of a maximum distance of 450 kilometers, it remains at 380 kilometers. Fast charging is possible with a maximum of 150 kW and is therefore 15 kW faster than the other MG4.

Equipped with 18-inch wheels and sporty bucket seats

To emphasize its sportiness, the MG4 XPower is equipped with 18-inch wheels, bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara and orange brake calipers. The infotainment system includes a Dynamic Driving Management menu that lets you keep track of lap times and G-forces.

Presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The new MG will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​in mid-July. There we will also see the Cyberster electric sports car and a study model that will be called EX4.
