Off-road in the Ford Bronco with 335 hp biturbo V6
A ladder chassis, four-wheel drive and large off-road tires. These are some of the ingredients that define the sixth generation Ford Bronco. The robust-looking off-road vehicle will soon be available from dealers in the Netherlands. Autovisie got behind the wheel to see just how good this off-roader really is off-road.
The Ford Bronco will come to the Netherlands through the official channels in two variants: the Outer Banks version and the grittier Badlands version. Both models are equipped with one low gear-Possibility. However, the focus of the Badlands version is a little more off-road driving, which is reflected in the large off-road tires and the lockable differential lock. In addition, this version features electronically removable anti-roll bars at the front, allowing the front wheels to move further up and down independently. We got into this Badlands version.
V6 with 563 Nm in the Ford Bronco
In terms of motorization, however, it hardly makes a difference. Although the Ford Bronco is also available in the US with a lower-powered four-cylinder, all Broncos available this way have a 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 under the hood. With its 335 hp and 563 Nm of torque, the six-cylinder should also be able to assert itself off-road. In America, a 400 hp 3.0-liter V6 is also available in the Raptor version of the Ford Bronco. An achievement that will not set foot on European soil for the time being.

The specimens that come here will remain a rarity. The Ford Bronco is coming to the Netherlands and the group of people with whom the off-roader is traveling in a limited edition Shopping List The state will be small. It’s all to do with the price. The Dutch price is not yet known, but it is certain that it will not be a cheap car. Where you can buy the Bronco new in Belgium from around 80 grand, there is a gigantic BPM surcharge in the Netherlands.
Through a quarry at high speed
The off-road capabilities will therefore only be experienced by a few. If you want to feel a little what it’s like to race in a Ford Bronco, you can watch our video. In it we race at what feels like Mach 10 over the gravel roads of a dusty quarry.
