These model cars represent a real Porsche crash! And you can buy them

That can’t be right, you think. Someone just put two scale Porsche models on top of each other, maybe out of cockiness. But no, this diorama is for sale and shows a real racing accident from 2015.

The miraculous accident happened on September 26, 2015 at the Navarra circuit in Spain. Drivers Jules Gounon, Alexander Cougnud and Joffrey de Narda were fighting for the lead when the latter two collided.

Well balanced after Porsche crash

The Narda spun and suddenly crashed into Gounon’s Porsche on its roof. It had blown through the air after making contact with Cougnud’s car. Gounon’s green and white car stayed clean on top of De Narda’s, his nose resting on the rear wing.

The rear lights Porsche later won the race

Gounon suffered minor injuries in the accident. Later in the weekend – after repairing his 911 GT3 Cup – the Narda simply drove to victory in the second race.

1:43 scale diorama not finished yet

The remarkable racing incident has now been captured to scale by Spark Models. The model of the two Porsches has not yet been fully developed, the company reports, but can already be ordered.

On sale for $155, not online

The 1:43 scale diorama will cost around $155 and will – fittingly – be released this September. Spark Models does not sell directly to collectors online so you will need to find a supplier.
