Prigozhin’s minions must pass a lie detector test

Imagine applying for a job, being invited for an interview – and the other person asking you to take a lie detector test.

Sounds crazy? Not if you want to work for one of the companies of Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin (61).

Two hours of interrogation

On March 18, hackers released more than a million internal documents purported to come from the businessman’s business empire. This is reported by the French newspaper “Le Monde”. They provide an insight into Prigozhin’s business empire, which should include about 400 companies, according to the report – and show how job interviews with the mercenary leader work.

Prigozhin should therefore take two hours to question some applicants with the lie detector. But why does the warmonger, known as the hospitality entrepreneur by the nickname “Putin’s cook”, do this?

The Troll Factory is part of Prigozhin’s Empire

“The point is to exclude all candidates with a soft spot for the opposition, all those who may have contact with the media and law enforcement agencies, drug addicts and those in debt,” the documents said. The questions are also intended to find out the applicant’s opinion on the war in Ukraine.

In the job interview with Prigozhin you can of course score with one thing above all: racism. Passwords deciphered by the hackers suspiciously often contain the number 1488. This is an identifier used by neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

In addition to the Wagner mercenary group and several catering companies, Prigozhin’s businesses include the St. Petersburg troll factory Internet Research Agency, a gingerbread company that CNN alleged attempted to smuggle gold into Sudan, and several companies specializing in oil and gas deals have specialized. The companies are bundled in the Concord group of companies. (nad)
