The armed forces are expanding weapons systems training to 500 Ukrainian soldiers

The Spanish Armed Forces will expand simultaneous training for more than 500 Ukrainian soldiers in six different locationsin which ten courses will be held at the same time, including the management of ten Leopard battle tanks that will be sent to war against Russia next April.

This instruction is carried out within the framework of the Operation of Military Assistance to Ukraine, under the auspices of the European Union. Nine new courses add to the training Ukrainian contingent in Zaragoza and Toledo baseswhere they get specific combat capabilities: medical, demining or actions to prevent the so-called IED (improvised explosive device).

After rotations developed in different locations since last November, 15 days ago a new contingent of 125 soldiers arrived in Toledo. Among them are future battle tank crew members and their maintenance specialists, a key task that guarantees the operability of these systems. This group consists of 55 uniformed policemen and they are already in Zaragoza.

for his part, army (Tercio de Armada de Infantería de Marina) will teach the module of Fr training of recruits in the facilities of the San Fernando base and the Retín Maneuver and Shooting Range, in the municipality Barbate (Cadiz).

The Legion Brigade (Almería) and the Air Transportable Light Brigade will join this effort to contribute to the training of Ukrainian troop commanders in various aspects of combat. Likewise, the First Engineer Regiment and the 74th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment will receive personnel at their facilities in Castrillo del Val (Burgos) and Seville to train sappers and Hawk anti-aircraft missile system crews.
