Cups, plates, pots: souvenirs for the coronation of Charles Greece wants to expand border fence with Turkey – for 100 million euros

A few months before the coronation of Charles III. the sale of souvenir items begins. The British pottery company Emma Bridgewater expects a high demand for cups, plates and teapots. The motif – a crown with a lion and unicorn as a symbol of the British monarchy – is applied with a sponge stamp and then decorated by hand. Charles and his queen consort Camilla will be crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London.

Based in the central English town of Stoke-on-Trent, the company has frequently produced memorabilia (memorabilia) for royal occasions and maintains close ties to the royal family. The King – while still the heir to the throne – has visited the pottery on several occasions, and his daughter-in-law Princess Kate has also visited.

The king is excited about the work, Stephen Beeston, director of production at Emma Bridgewater, told the PA news agency. “The pottery industry has a long history of producing memorial pottery, probably dating back to the mid-18th century,” Beeston said. “We have the heritage, we have the know-how and we are very proud to be associated with the Royal Family.”
