The man had to appear in court for a crime committed in a penal institution. Since Friday, an international search has also been underway for him.
Police headquarters called on the population to report information about the whereabouts of the suspect to the emergency number 110, but not to speak to the fugitive because he was considered violent. Subsequently, various reactions came in from the public.
C. was convicted of murder and theft resulting in death, among other things. In 2011, he and his brother robbed a kiosk and strangled the 76-year-old owner. He is serving a life sentence. (AFP/no)
