Monica Brzoska and Jorell Conley are living their dream – on cruise ships full time!

Monica Brzoska (32) and her husband Jorell Conley (36) from the US suffered a fateful blow in August 2022: Brzoska’s father became seriously ill and barely survived due to a liver transplant.

A kind of wake-up call for the couple: the two then decided to radically change their lives and finally realize their biggest dream: long-term travel. To do this, they sold their belongings and rented out their home in Memphis, Tennessee.

As Monica Brzoska told the Sun, her mother supported her plan. She is said to have told her: “Don’t wait until retirement to make your dreams come true. Do it now!”

By the pool during the day and a luxurious meal in the evening

To realize their dream of traveling the world on cruise ships, the couple pays around 10,000 euros (9,800 francs) a year. Because they had already taken many cruises, they received discounts. Get rid of the daily stress! Now the couple’s daily life resembles that of the super-rich: spa, soaking up the sun by the pool and dining out. And all without having to cook or clean yourself.

The money was used for accommodation, food and even entertainment on board. They just need some money that they can use for shore leave. The couple shares their journey on Instagram.

“Without the stress of everyday life, we rarely had arguments”

Destinations such as Hawaii, Iceland, Japan and Mexico have already been checked off on approximately 36 cruises so far. This is not only a dream, but also a great relief for the couple: “In the past, there were always timetables, cooking and cleaning. But that’s all gone now.”

Brzoska said that traveling not only made her daily life easier, but also had a positive impact on her relationship. “Without the stress of everyday life, we rarely had arguments.” That’s why they often, even for no particular reason, go to one of the fancy restaurants on board – and enjoy their time together.
