On July 11 and 12, 48 foreign delegations are expected in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, including 40 heads of state and up to 150 other high-ranking politicians. The meeting focuses on Russia’s war of aggression, continued support for Ukraine and its accession prospects, as well as Turkey’s blockade of Sweden’s accession to NATO.

When you are 14 World War I starts and ends when you are 18 with 22 million dead.

When you are 14 the First World War starts and when you are 18 it ends with 22 million dead.
Shortly afterwards, a global pandemic broke out, the Spanish flu, killing 50 million people. And you are alive and 20 years old.
At age 29, you survive the Great Depression, which began with the collapse of the New York Stock Exchange and led to inflation, unemployment, and famine.
When you are 33 years old, the Nazis come to power.
When you’re 39, World War II starts and when you’re 45, it ends with 60 million dead. 6 million Jews died during the Holocaust.
When you’re 52, the Korean War begins. The Vietnam War begins at 64 and ends at 75.
A child born in 1985 thinks his grandparents have no idea how hard life is, but they survived several wars and disasters.
Today we have every comfort in a new world, in the midst of a new pandemic. But we complain because we have to wear masks. We complain because we have to stay in our homes where we have food, electricity, running water, wifi and even Netflix! None of this existed in ancient times. But humanity has survived these conditions and has never lost its zest for life.
A small change in our perspective can do wonders. We should be thankful that we are alive. We have to do what we have to do to protect and help each other.”
