Aleksander Ceferin (55) has spoken openly about the possibility that premier league matches can also be held in the US in the future. The goal, of course, is to increase sales.

Ceferin is aware that these business games will probably not go over well in Europe. “Fans will say, ‘Those bastards in Switzerland, they only care about the money.’ But I will repeat it a thousand times: we pay 97% of our income to the clubs and nations.” The change would only be made if it would benefit everyone involved.

To further increase revenues, the US market offers exciting prospects. And when it comes to marketing, the Americans are “much more talented” than the Europeans.
