The Swiss men’s relay team gets a taste of the podium at the Biathlon World Cup in Ruhpolding. However, final runner Jeremy Finello cannot benefit from the good starting position and falls back to 7th place.
Finello, who recorded five reserve rounds on the shooting range, takes over second place from Niklas Hartweg, who, after thorough preliminary work by Joscha Burkhalter and Sebastian Stalder, has worked his way to the front with strong running and error-free shooting. The Swiss lose just over 27 seconds to the third-placed Italians.
Victory in the fourth relay of the season goes to Norway for the fourth time, which has won twelve of the last thirteen relay races (including the Olympic victory in Beijing) and is the big favorite at the World Championships in February in Nove Mesto. (SDA)
