The stadium speaker in Letzigrund didn’t even have time to announce De Carvalho’s substitution, he scored so quickly after his substitution.

Four minutes later, the 20-year-old doubled with his right foot to make it 2-0 for the standings. The goalscorer, who has now scored three goals this season: “Somehow I can’t realize it, there were so many emotions at the same time. I need to look at both targets first, then I can classify them more precisely. The points are the most important thing.”

What makes the classification win against the in-form Lausanne – who has been unbeaten for six games – almost cheesy: goalkeeper Justin Hammel is also a birthday boy (turned 23 on Saturday). And Hammel is also a match winner. He saved a penalty against Sene with a strong save in the 81st minute, preventing Lausanne from scoring a consolation goal. For the second time this season he keeps a clean sheet.

Party? “We will soon have another 6-point match”

Is the goalkeeper now toasting the Carvalho on her birthday and the three points? Hammel laughs: “I’m not a party type, I go out for dinner with my family and my girlfriend in peace and enjoy the evening. We will train again soon and next week against Basel we have another six-point match.”

From the point of view of the rankings, there was only one thing bitter on Saturday evening: Super Joker de Carvalho had to be substituted again after being injured in the 84th minute.
