With the free transfers from the likes of Karim Benzema…

It was clear that the moment would eventually come. After big stars like Ronaldo and Benzema were signed after their contracts expired, it was only a matter of time before Saudi league bosses used their huge funds to buy more players from Europe’s top divisions. One of them is Ruben Neves (26), the Portuguese moves from Wolverhampton to Al-Hilal for CHF 55 million.

And the Saudis are far from appeased. According to the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport”, they want to attract more top players. There would be offers for Bernardo Silva (28), the three-time winner is now being courted by a club from the Saudi Pro League in addition to PSG. In addition to Silva, Saul Niguez (28) from Atletico Madrid, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (34) from Chelsea and Marco Verratti (30) from PSG are also on the wish list of the sheikhs.

Spaniard Saul is being courted by Ronaldo club Al-Nassr and should seriously consider the option. Midfielder Verratti wants to leave PSG, the French champions are currently out. For the Italian, the Saudis would have to dig deep into their pockets, the transfer fee would be CHF 80 million. This number will not deter the sheikhs.

Chelsea must sell players – found food

The Saudis seem particularly fond of London’s Chelsea. Because it is also known in the Arab world that the blues is the focus of financial fair play, after the large spending in the last transfer windows – 611 million francs in the 2022/23 season alone. According to various media reports, the Saudis have already made agreements with N’Golo Kanté (32) and goalkeeper Édouard Mendy (31) and the signature is imminent.

They have also shown interest in winger Hakim Ziyech (30), defender Kalidou Koulibaly (32) and Aubameyang. Moroccan international Ziyech is said to have received a lucrative offer from Al-Nassr and made a verbal agreement. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (30), the Senegalese Koulibaly is about to sign with Al-Hilal. And striker Aubameyang is said to be in contact with various clubs and net the Londoners almost 7 million francs in a transfer. (nsa)
