For 3.1 million francs: Putin’s ex-wife wants to get rid of the luxury apartment in Davos

Lyudmila Alexandrovna Ocheretnaya (66) is the ex-wife of Vladimir Putin (71). The surname Otscheretny has been in the Davos land registry since 2015. Because her new husband, Artur Otscheretny (45), owns one of the luxury apartments in the famous Hotel Alpengold, formerly Intercontinental.

According to the Südostschweiz newspaper, the Russian entrepreneur now wants to get rid of his holiday home. The sale of the luxury apartment in Golden Eye is advertised on various real estate platforms.

Sales documents from broker Markutt Immobilien offer an insight into the Russian couple’s prestigious home with pictures and other details. It will have 4.5 rooms, almost 200 square meters in size and cost 3.1 million francs.

There is a jacuzzi, dressing room, fireplace and two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. All rooms also have access to a balcony overlooking all of Davos. Available “immediately or by appointment,” the documents state.

Fear of sanctions?

It is not known why Artur Otscheretny and his famous wife wanted to get rid of the holiday home. According to Spanish media, the couple wanted to sell two apartments in luxury Marbella in February 2023. As the Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” put it at the time, due to “fear of EU sanctions”.

Is the Russian couple also afraid of sanctions in Switzerland? In any case, the names of Artur Otscheretny and Lyudmila Otscheretnaya are not currently on the list of persons sanctioned by Switzerland in connection with Russia.

The real estate agent is not short of potential buyers at the moment. The annual WEF economic forum starts in Davos GR on 16 January 2014. This is the time of year when everyone of rank and name gathers in Davos. There will probably be attendees with wallets big enough to afford such a luxury item.
