Three women are among the 19 new names on the “Balance Sheet” list of Switzerland’s 300 richest people.

One of them is Anja Graf (46), founder of Visionapartments, who appeared on television as an investor in the program “Höhle der Löwen”. The other two women are Norwegian.

One of them is Caroline Hagen Kjos (39), whose assets are estimated at 1.5 to 2 billion francs.

Family wealth management in a tax haven

He is not one of the many wealthy Norwegians who have moved here recently. Caroline Hagen Kjos, like her brother Carl Erik Hagen, has been living in Switzerland since 2009. Here they both work for Canica International AG, based in Freienbach SZ. This is the financial arm of the Norwegian family company Canica.

This includes majority shares in the Orkla holding, a major player in the food, home and clothing sectors in Norway, as well as shares in the companies Steen & Strøm (retail, real estate), Jernia (household goods) and Complete (). online mail order company for electronic products).

The father of the two is Stein Erik Hagen (67), the 9th richest person in Norway, with an estimated fortune equivalent to 1.9 billion francs. Unlike her media-shy daughter, she is outgoing and makes no secret of her disdain for Norway’s high wealth tax or her bisexuality. He currently lives in Norway. However, in 2014, he made his daughter Caroline CEO of Canica. He also receives increasing shares in Canica from his father and his sister, Camilla Hagen Sørli (43), who did not move to Switzerland. She currently holds 99.75 percent of the family holding. However, the father still retains the majority of voting rights.

Children are moving to tax haven

Caroline Hagen Kjos lives in Wollerau SZ with her husband and two children. Brother Carl Erik Hagen (35) lives in Kilchberg ZH with his wife Rikke Sandvold Hagen (31), daughter of real estate mogul and clothing entrepreneur Kenneth Sandvold (72).

The “Hagen model” set a precedent. There is no need for wealthy Norwegians to move to Switzerland themselves. They often send their children to tax havens. Assets travel with you, but there is often no corporate liability.

The same goes for Ninja Tollefsen (38), the third woman on the “Balance Sheet” list. A year ago he took over 90 percent of the real estate empire of his father and real estate tycoon Ivar Tollefsen, 62, and moved to Lugano TI. My father saves on taxes but maintains control of the company.
