Traditionally, Chinese people go home to their families to celebrate the New Year. A program that will last several hours will be broadcast on television. According to the traditional Chinese calendar, the Year of the Rabbit ends on the night between February 9th and February 10th.

New Year is a very important festival, it takes 15 days from New Year to Lantern Festival (also known as Yuanxiao Festival or Spring Festival) on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar.
