The ‘Friends’ actor, who was found lifeless in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home in October, had apparently taken a lot of drugs. The New York Times reported this on Saturday evening, citing the autopsy report. According to the medical examiner, “drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of an opioid” contributed to the Hollywood star’s death.
Ketamine is a powerful anesthetic that is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative therapy for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and other serious illnesses, the report said.
The autopsy report states that Perry was given “ketamine infusion therapy” and that his last session occurred about a week and a half before his death.
Perry publicly struggled with alcohol and drug problems for decades.
