The 36-year-old Italian, living in the Locarno region, was arrested on Sunday morning. He is accused of attempting to murder a 30-year-old Swiss man. According to the Ticino cantonal police, violence broke out at a nightclub in Muralto around three in the morning.
During an argument between two men for reasons yet to be determined, the Italian attacked the 30-year-old man living in Bellinzona with a knife. He had to be hospitalized and was seriously injured.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested by police and charged with attempted murder. The prosecutor’s office continues its investigation into the matter. Further information about the perpetrator or victim is still unclear. (woman)
