Fans of the fantasy series “Shadow & Bone – Legends of Grisha” were in for a rude shock last week. After the announcement of a third season of the Netflix hit failed to materialize in recent months, the streaming service announced that the series was being canceled after just two seasons. This also means the end of the planned spin-off ‘Six Of Crows’, which is based on the novel of the same name by Leigh Bardugo from the ‘Grisha’ novel series and now has to disappear again.
While Leigh Burdago has already expressed her feelings about the firing made it public and said he was “deeply disappointed”. Other cast and crew members from the two series also shared their thoughts on Netflix’s decision. This is what Kirigan actor Ben Barnes wrote down , that he would be especially proud to have been involved with “Shadow & Bone”. He quoted the second part of the “Shadow & Bone” series “Siege And Storm”: “Our story will never end.”

The authors of “Six Of Crows” had big things planned for the spin-off
The spin-off “Six Of Crows” aimed to expand the “Shadow & Bone” universe with one of Leigh Bardugo’s most popular stories, which was already in the starting blocks with a completed script and extensive cast. After the cancellation, the authors of the spin-off series also spoke out.
Co-showrunner Daegan Fryklind thanked him via with the fans, cast and crew of the second season of “Shadow & Bone,” with the show’s creator playing a key role in shaping it. However, the cancellation would leave fans with some great stories:
Author Christina Strain joined Fryklind and wrote up that the world especially with the said “Inej” episode “Painfully spectacular piece of television” would have been robbed. Prathi Srinisvasan added that fans loved what they came up with for the Six Of Crows spin-off:
