Casting rumors for the upcoming “Fantastic Four” movie are currently abuzz. After being cast as the leader of the Marvel quartet “Mr. Fantastic” aka Reed Richards names, from John Krasinski to Jake Gyllenhaal and Adam Driver to Penn Bedgley, are floating around the Hollywood insider industry. Only yesterday it was reported by several reliable sources that the choice has now fallen on the star of “Star Wars: The Mandalorian”. Pedro Pascal is said to have fallen.
Now, another rumor is making the rounds – about the supervillain the new generation of the Fantastic Four will face in their first big cinematic adventure. Although Antonio Banderas has previously been linked to the role of villain Galactus, the otherwise fairly accurate industry insider believes , knowing an actor like Galactus who we know from films like “Dune” and “No Country For Old Man”.
Javier Bardem is reportedly in talks to play Galactus in Fantastic Four
We talk about Javier Bardemwho we recently saw in the role of Triton in Disney’s live-action adaptation ‘The Little Mermaid’.. Whether the actor will actually play villain Galactus for Marvel is still up in the air is still on his schedule, which could clash with the filming of Apple’s Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt, for which the ‘Dune’ star is also on the cast list. Galactus is a galactic entity in the Marvel Universe, who feeds on planets and has the Silver Surfer under his wing as a herald.
