Mexican singer Luis Miguel, who is in the midst of an intense tour that will last until mid-2024, will donate 10 million pesos (about $570,000) to help rebuild the port of Acapulco, the main area in the Mexican state of Guerrero that was hit two weeks ago by Hurricane Otis, which has claimed 48 lives so far.
Call donation “The Sun of Mexico” announced the general manager Mexican Grupo Financiero Banorte, Marcos Ramírez, via a message on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Ramírez also said the bank would double the figure, for a total donation of 20 million pesos.
“Thanks a lot, Luis Miguel for your donation of 10 million pesos to Fundación Banorte for the renovation and furnishing of housing for the affected community in Acapulco. Fundación Banorte will double it to reach 20 million pesos. With your support and the support of thousands of Mexicans, we are building strong families,” Ramírez said in his message.
Luis Miguel, who liked to spend the summer in Acapulcowhere he built a house, he returned to the stage last August in Argentina with a new tour that is currently traveling through the United States and will continue in 2024 through America and Europe.
Just last October 30th Mexican singer announced that he will hold a concert on July 6, 2024 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, which will be his first concert in Spain since 2017.
But before coming to Spain, Luis Miguel More than fifty concerts are planned in more than fifteen countries of Latin America, USA and Canada.
