Bratislava, Slovakia

How about a trip to a city that is not among the tourism classics, but is still fascinating? Bratislava (German: Pressburg), the capital of Slovakia, is located on the Danube River and borders both Austria and Hungary. Therefore, the historical city has various cultural influences and is increasingly becoming a melting pot. The surroundings of the vineyards are ideal for hiking and cycling in the Lesser Carpathians.

Fly: The old town, in particular, stands out with its 18th-century historical charm and popular cafes and restaurants.

2

Brussels, Belgium

In addition to being the city where the European Parliament meets, Brussels is also known as the capital of the Kingdom of Belgium. Here you can not only taste fragrant waffles and chocolates that melt in your mouth, but also visit cultural attractions such as the Magritte Museum. Brussels fascinates its visitors with its unique, somewhat rough but warm charm. Life is lively in trendy districts and beautiful boutiques invite you to shop.

Fly: Grote Markt, the market square with the Gothic town hall, is the beating heart of the city and is also visually impressive. Especially in the evening when buildings are illuminated.

3

Venice, Italy

Venice is arguably one of the most interesting cities in Italy. Some say you should visit now before sea levels rise too much. Here you will find not only various tourist attractions, but also typical dolce vitas such as restaurants, cafes, bars and many street artists and musicians. So let’s go and admire the Correr Museum, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge’s Palace. For a real visit, you must have passed through the canals with a gondolier at least once. There are no cars here anyway.

Fly: You can look over the shoulders of the glass blowers working on the island of Murano and buy nice souvenirs.

Mali Losinj, Croatia

On the Croatian island of Losinj, in addition to the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic and beautiful pebble beaches, you will also find the picturesque port city of Mali Losinj. The large natural harbor invites you to take a walk along the promenade. The Mediterranean surroundings are perfect for relaxation and are officially known as a climatic health resort. After the walk, you can reward yourself with spicy, fragrant traditional dishes and very high-quality Croatian wines in one of the restaurants.

Fly: If you want to see fun sea creatures, you should book a boat tour to Kvarnerić on the west coast, because more than 100 dolphins still live here.

5

Konstanz, Germany

The city of Konstanz is known as the heart of the four countries on the shores of Lake Constance. You can shop here, take a boat tour on the sparkling lake or enjoy the sun in one of the cafes. The surrounding green space also offers ideal opportunities for relaxation and exploration through activities such as cycling or walking. But Constance also has much to offer historically, including the history of the Council of Constance, which the port figure of Imperia aims to commemorate.

Fly: You can get to know the largest city on Lake Constance better on one of the themed city tours.

Perpignan, France

The city of Perpignan is the cultural center of France’s southwestern Mediterranean coast. It impresses with its typical southern French charm and historic old town. It is also located in the Golfe du Lion and is ideal for long walks due to its direct proximity to the Mediterranean Sea.

Fly: If you want to eat a few tapas after the walk, you will find what you are looking for; The Spanish border is not far away and the Catalan influence in Perpignan can be seen everywhere. After just an hour’s drive you are in the Pyrenees.

7

Budapest, Hungary

The capital of Hungary is at the top of the list of the most visited cities in Europe. It takes its name from the merger of two ancient cities, Buda and Pest, located on opposite banks of the Danube River. Elegant buildings on the riverside evoke the special atmosphere of Paris. Magnificent cathedrals and castles not only look beautiful but also provide a great backdrop for the shopping street.

Fly: The parliament building, built to commemorate Hungary’s independence, is particularly impressive. It looks quite impressive, especially when viewed from the opposite shore in the evening.
