International racing returns to La Chorrera

Automobile event held last Sunday, May 21st in Panama International Circuit, located on the Mendoza Highway, La Chorrera.

And it is that this weekend is the third date in State championship in motor racing Terpel 2023 with exceptional added value: Panama Cup VS Costa Rica. This is a two-date tournament (Panama, May 21 and Costa Rica, October 22) where the best drivers from each country will meet to decide who is the champion of the much-anticipated cup. There are different categories StreetLegal, reserved for street cars, TN, the long-awaited GT3 and the new PRS.

With respect State championship in motor racing Terpel 2023, gathered more than thirty cars in the racing car categories and 38 cars in the street car category (StreetLegal); stringing together success race after race, the new ST added a new entry: Kail Sibauste, champion of the S2000 category in 2022. GT2 saw a tight battle for the win between Edwin Serrano, who eventually won, and Carlos Rubén Herrera, with Chirican’s Adrián Saldaña closing out. In the new PRS, the Costa Rican pilot Esteban Jimenez celebrated again ahead of Fernando Seferlis.

The Panama Cup against Costa Rica delighted the audience with two heart-pounding races in which the best drivers from the country and neighboring Costa Rica gave their all to win. In TN, the unstoppable Tony Diaz (PAN) won both races, followed by the reigning Costa Rican champion, Michael Calderón (CR) and Mauricio Fernandez (CR). In GT3, the young driver Sebastian NG (PAN) delighted us with great races that show the excellent form he has combining several international championships. Second place for Ariel Gaitán (PAN) and Enrique Maduro (PAN) closed the podium.
