The average rate at which Spanish entities approved loans for mortgages in February it was close to 3.6%, which is the highest recorded level since April 2012, according to data published by Bank of Spain.
So, the average kind mortgage loans for more than three years to acquire living place free grants awarded by entities in Spain rose for the eleventh consecutive month, up to 3.585%, compared to 3.345% recorded in January. A year earlier, the average rate was 1.418%.
Ascension occurs in a context in which euriborthe index to which most Spanish mortgages relate, closed the month of February at 3.534%, above the 3.337% recorded in January, continuing the upward trend that began in early 2022.
For its part, the average rate of mortgage loans between one and five years for the acquisition of free housing granted by credit institutions in the euro area increased to 3.340% (refers to the previous month), compared to 3.160% earlier.
