Author:

It is a unique tool that reduces travel, speeds up procedures and simplifies vehicle validation processes

Applus+, the leading Spanish multinational in the vehicle inspection sector, with more than 13 million annual inspections in 11 countries, has developed eReformas digital platform to improve the user experience of technical inspection of vehicles (ITV) in Spain, the company said in a statement.

eReformas is a digital solution very easy to use thus reducing journeys, speeding up procedures and simplifying vehicle approval processes, which means a significant improvement in the user experience. is around a unique tool in Spainand the company does not know that it is available in any other country in the world.

The program deals with everything type of clientsboth individuals and professionals, which enables the creation on the line most of these processes, without the time limits of ITV stations. eReformas asks clients for the necessary documentation depending on the service and the autonomous community in which it is requested. Using artificial intelligence, it is able to analyze the information it has received and assess its validity. If it detects any anomaly, it asks the client for updated or additional information, all remotely. It thus automates many checks, which frees up human technicians to perform the most important tasks, such as inspecting the vehicle itself, thus increasing the efficiency of the service.

Although they are nominally grouped under the generic term reforms, the eReformas system includes four different groups of services:

Service changes. For example, a vehicle that ceases to be for private use and becomes a public service, rental or driving school.

Obtaining duplicate ITV cardsfaster and with more comprehensive quality control thanks to artificial intelligence.

Pre-order services. These are the ones that are given to imported vehicles that want to be registered but do not have an ITV card.

Reforms. It is the most representative, which includes vehicle transformations.

For Applus+ Executive Vice President Aitor Retes, with the eReformas platform, “our clients no longer have to go to the station to find out what documents they have to present, nor do they have to come back later to deliver them and open the file” When this new service started in Spain, he thought is about its expansion “to other countries where we carry out vehicle inspections”, he said.
