Ricardo Martinelli presents projects to promote tourism

A meeting was held the presidential candidate of Realizing Goals (RM) and Alliance, Ricardo Martinelli Berrocalwith the directors Panama Hotel Association (Apatel) in which the master plan for the recovery of the tourism industry of Panama is presented.

Managers expressed concern about problems of tourism in the last 8 years and suggested some alternatives for positioning Panama as a major destination in Central America for leisure, business and convention tourism.

Ricardo Martinelli, for his part, proposed various alternatives and projects to attract foreign investment and promote Panama as a tourist destination as one of the pillars of the Panamanian economy.

During his government (2009-2014), Panama exceeded 2 million 250 visitorswith a contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) of almost 3.5 billion dollars.
