The 45-year-old actor and his 46-year-old co-star are taking part in a promotional campaign for their new film You or Me?, which will premiere on Netflix on February 10. Reese tried on a sky blue dress with an extreme neckline, off the shoulder and peplum for the occasion.

The image of the “blonde in law” was complemented by black stiletto sandals, laconic earrings and a massive bracelet. Ashton looked casual in a denim shirt and loose suit. He showed up with two-day-old stubble and didn’t even bother to smile for the camera.

Users immediately scathingly noted that these shots indicated the kind of chemistry the actors experienced with each other in the new romantic comedy. Even Kutcher’s 39-year-old wife Mila Kunis couldn’t resist the joke after she saw the couple on the red carpet. “My wife was calling and texting me Reese. She said, “You guys have to act like you like each other,” Ashton said.

During the Chicks In The Office podcast, the actor revealed why he was so formal at the photo shoot with Witherspoon. “Here’s the thing: if I hugged her and was friendly with her, everyone would think we were having an affair. I thought that if I stood next to her and put my hands in my pockets, there would be no chance of rumours, even though there was talk afterwards that we didn’t like each other, “said the actor.

The no-contact strategy that Kutcher used was in stark contrast to how other actors go about promoting their projects. Demi Moore’s ex-husband also attributed his awkward posture to another complicating factor: his deafness in one ear.

Ashton suffers from a rare form of vasculitis which has caused him hearing problems. “I don’t know who’s calling my name, but I know a lot of people are yelling, ‘Reese! Ashton! Here!’ If you want to tell me that in 20 minutes you won’t have an awkward look on your face at some point, then you’re better than me,” the Daily Mail quoted the artist as saying.
