The disgraced British royal couple have made new claims in the six-part Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan. Palace sources said the Princess of Wales expected attacks from Meghan Markle, but the revelation of her husband’s younger brother shocked her.

“Kate feels hurt and betrayed that Harry did this to her too, especially since they used to be so close,” said an insider close to Kate Middleton.

Prince William’s reaction to the streak was more subdued. He has no intention of entering into an open confrontation with Harry and his wife. “The Prince of Wales has no plans to tell his side of the story or openly seek revenge. He maintains his dignity and continues his work,” the source said.

In the project, which was directed by Liz Garbus, the former American actress and British prince repeatedly spoke about the Prince and Princess of Wales. And so the youngest son of King Charles III. accused his older brother of breaking an agreement not to spread stories about each other to the press. Harry admitted that his departure from the UK with Meghan had “put a wedge” in his relationship with William.

The disgraced member of the monarchy was referring to a 2020 report of a feud between the brothers. According to him, he did not agree to publish a joint statement refuting the story of William and other family members who bullied him and Meghan Markle. “Nobody asked me for permission to use my name in a statement like that,” the Duke of Sussex fumed.

Meghan Markle tried to avoid open accusations of her brother-in-law. But she made her feelings clear when she revealed that the future king’s public affairs secretary was testifying at the last minute in a 2021 lawsuit over the publication of Meghan’s private letter to her father Thomas Markle, Page Six reports.

“This is your brother! I won’t say anything about your brother, but it’s so obvious – he approved this statement,” the former royal addressed her husband.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will step down from the position of the royal family in January 2020. Now the Dukes of Sussex live in their estate in Montecito, California with two children – 3-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet.
