Kolya Gerasimov was the dream of all Soviet schoolgirls, and the dream of Kolya himself, more precisely, actor Alexei Fomkin, was a film career, but after “The Guest” the guy did not receive offers. Alexey decided to wait out the stagnation in his career in the army, but, paradoxically, it was during the period of his service that the directors began to invite him. Hoping that he would still be able to prove himself after the army, Fomkin got a job at the Gorky Moscow Art Theater. Even then, the young man suffered from heavy drinking, which was the reason for his expulsion from the theater. Alexey moved to the village, where he worked as a miller, and then lived with his wife in Vladimir. The actor died, suffocated in an apartment fire. He was drunk and sleeping too hard. Fomkin was 26 years old.

Of course, by the time The Guest was filmed, Innocent was already a famous artist, but the role in the fantasy TV series lifted Innocent to an even greater wave of success. The 66-year-old Gerasimov not only built a successful career in cinema, but also became interested in political activities. Now the former actor holds the post of chairman of the Moscow Union of Cameramen, and since 2001 Gerasimov has been a member of the Moscow City Duma from United Russia and chairman of the Committee on Culture.
