Nobody ever has to burn gasoline in the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid
The average Dutch commuter covers between 15 and 35 kilometers every day. In this Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid it never has to be about the V6. Even if that would be a shame…
Ultimately, there will be four hybrid versions of the new Panamera, the first two of which have now been introduced: the E-Hybrid and the 4S E-Hybrid.
Porsche Panamera E Hybrid
Both are equipped with a 2.9-liter biturbo V6, which produces 304 hp in the E-Hybrid. Thanks to a 190 hp electric motor, the system output is significantly higher at 470 hp.
In the 4S E-Hybrid, the petrol engine produces 353 hp, which in combination with the electric motor results in a total output of 544 hp. The E-Hybrid has 650 Nm of torque, the 4S E-Hybrid has 750 Nm.
Electric range
Porsche makes no compromises when it comes to fuel consumption. Perhaps not very relevant for people who can afford a Panamera. Porsche specifies the electric range as a maximum of 96 kilometers.
If that doesn’t bother you, you can use full power at every traffic light and sprint to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (for the E-Hybrid) or 3.7 seconds (for the 4S).
The battery of both Panameras has around 45 percent more capacity, now 25.9 kWh gross. Charging time at an 11 kW charging station is around two and a half hours.
Starting in electric mode
The E-Hybrid and the 4S E-Hybrid always start in fully electric mode. As soon as the battery level falls below a certain value, the system automatically switches to hybrid drive.
The Panamera E-Hybrid and 4S are equipped with adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management as standard. They are also available with active suspension.
