Tuner makes BMW XM even more tasteful!
The title of this article is of course 100 percent sarcastic, because this BMW XM is anything but tasteful. The gigantic colossus from BMW has been made even more eye-catching by a tuner.
Many enthusiasts don’t think the “normal” BMW XM is the prettiest car, but it could always be worse. This is what happens when you give Larte Design more than 50,000 euros and an XM Red Label.
The BMW XM Red Label
Basically, the so-called Red Label (which is limited to 500 copies) is used. This more powerful and lavish version of the BMW XM cannot be called modest. For example, the red accents around the radiator grille and window frames are original BMW.
The huge 23-inch wheels, the mega diffuser, the fender flares, the spoiler and the bumper lip were installed later. The tuning parts are made of carbon fiber. This is a purely aesthetic decision, because with a weight of around 2.7 tons, a few kilos don’t make much of a difference. Optionally you can choose another plastic.
Just a different look
Larte Design only deals with the exterior. The engine and interior are not changed. The standard BMW XM delivers 653 hp and 800 Nm of torque thanks to the 4.4-liter V8 and electric motor. This Red Label offers 748 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque.
With this power, BMW’s heaviest car sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.8 seconds. The top speed is 290 kilometers per hour if you choose the M Drivers Pack. If you don’t do this, the limiter will intervene at 250 kilometers per hour.
The body kit costs around 42 grand excluding wheels of 8,500 euros if you opt for carbon fiber. Our tip: Spend your money on a car that steers much better. For just the money for the body kit, you can buy a previous generation M2 with less than 60,000 kilometers on the clock. Then at least you have a real BMW M!
