Dutch government sells dubious Brabus G-Class
Every year the government confiscates cars for many reasons. These used and old company vehicles are then sold by the Ministry of Finance. Autovisie shows exactly how this works in this report. This time a special car is for sale: a Brabus G800 based on a Mercedes-AMG G63.
You can bid on the car on the government website. If you bid the highest amount, you can pick up the car. This amount is not the amount you will ultimately have to pay for your new car. A buyer’s premium of 15 percent will be added to your bid.
Brabus G800 at the Dutch government
A Brabus is a special appearance. The tuner makes impressive cars for people who are not averse to eye-catching models. This Mercedes-AMG G-Class has also become an expressionist work of art.
The used car is therefore not called Mercedes-AMG G63, but Brabus G800. At least that’s what it says on the back of the case. In the Dutch government advertisement we read: “Concerns G63 AMG with a body kit and the complete look of a G800”. That would mean that the used one doesn’t make 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, but that the 4.0-liter V8 with two turbos is good for 544 hp and 760 Nm of torque. However, the adjustments under the hood suggest that these are more than just external changes.

The occasion
The used car for the Dutch government comes from Germany and has almost 30,000 kilometers of experience. The history of the car is unclear, although the brochures are present. It is not stated online whether the service booklet has been properly filled out.
