China releases images of (probably) only albino panda The ESC as you have NOT seen it

China’s state-run China Central Television recently broadcast unique wildlife camera footage in the Wolong Nature Reserve in the southwest of the country. Inside: a giant panda. This is nothing special, as the reserve was created specifically to protect these animals. However, this panda is exclusively white. And could be the only one in the world.

It is estimated that there are only about 2,000 pandas left in the wild, all of which live in China, of which more than 150 – including the albino – in the Wolong Reserve in Sichuan province. The reserve was established in 1963 specifically to protect the animals.

Perhaps the only albino

According to Chinese media reports, the animal in the photos could be the world’s only albino specimen. The age is estimated at five or six years. It already fell into a photo trap in 2019, but the shots then were much less detailed than they are now. (lzo)
