“It is perfectly clear that these are the reactions of the Kiev regime to our fairly effective attacks on one of the decision-making centers,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday, according to the Interfax news agency. He referred to an attack by the Russian army on Sunday, but gave no further details.
Russia’s defense ministry did not report the destruction of high-level command structures in Kiev on Sunday or Monday. However, numerous drone and missile attacks on civilian objects were recorded in Ukraine on these two days. The Russian offensive war against the neighboring country has been going on for more than 15 months. In many cases, the information provided by the warring parties can initially hardly be verified by an independent party.
Peskov again justified the continuation of the aggressive war against Ukraine, which he continued to call only “military special operations”. President Vladimir Putin has been informed in real time about the drone strikes since this morning. Several residential buildings in the Russian capital were damaged in the attack.
